This is the time of year for those of you with fescue lawns to aerify, fertilize and reseed. I suggest using a fertilizer with a low amount of nitrogen and higher amount of potassium. An example of an analysis ratio of fertilizer would be 1 to 2 to 3, (nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium). Try using the same type of seed you already have and if you do not know look for varieties with improved shade tolerance or drought tolerance depending on what your lawn needs.
